Passionate About Growth

In human design, I am a reflector. We make up only 1% of the population. As a reflector, I am able to observe and mirror back to you what is working and what isn't and can sense what is authentic and aligned and what isn't. I like to observe, understand and learn about people and situations before offering views or coming to conclusions so that outcomes are aligned with direction. I have a sharp intuition, am empathetic and have the ability to see things from many perspectives. In work and business, I am a high D personality. I am an Aquarian, so I have a logical and innovative mind with a passion to learn and apply and share these learnings. I love creativity I value relationships and my passion is growth.

As a teenager, mum would take me with her to personal development seminars, and we would watch films as a family on neuroscience, NLP and human behaviour. What a woman right? The language and mindset in these settings impacted the way I lived my life from a young age on both a conscious and subconscious level.

My experience in my work life stretches back nearly 17 years to a young, vibrant 15 year old me, who had a passion that started in hospitality and led me to events. The customer interaction, creating experiences, the music and creativity, the fast pace, all led me into the world of events, which became my bread and butter. An industry where I learnt an abundance of skills and lessons.

This altered my perspective and gave me a burning curiosity to understand myself and others on a deep level and why we do what we do. I spent most of my 20's outside of work, traveling and also exploring human behaviour, metaphysics, the personal development realm. With my older sisters doing a lot of learning from these mentors and seeing the changes they were able to make and the ability to manifest amazing things, I began listening to and learning from some of my favourites; Joe Dispenza, Abraham Hicks, Tony Robbins and Wayne Dyer. This began my journey of growth. My highest value. I explored patterns from my childhood and became very curious about how my family, parents and how the particular experiences shaped me and what I wanted to work on.

I became passionate about how the brain works, about personalities, learnt about my values, explored patterns I had created that and learnt how to change them. This transferred across into my work life. I entered the event world where I became an absolute sponge, a world that was full of adrenaline, stress, and problem solving. I had both a strong desire to understand why things were the way they were, and to find solutions and problem solve the things that weren't working. I noticed I would go toward conflict or problems as I enjoyed the challenge of find resolutions to things. Creating order out of chaos.

I began hosting and working in major events and with a passion for understanding people and relationships this was the perfect place for me to play. I began working in venues around Melbourne, landed an event admin role at Eureka 89 in 2015 which managed the businesses accounting and finance and assisting in event operations and planning which I loved, but had a thirst for bigger challenges that would push me out of my comfort zone. In 2017 I took on a role in the operations team with Incognitus at the XI FIP World Polo Championship in Sydney which saw me managing a team of hosts, liaising with clients as well as the operations departments across the course of the event. I always took on something that felt scary but I was committed to learning. In 2017 I took a role at Tennis Australia which was a logistic heavy role supervising the build of the player areas across Melbourne and Olympic Park for the 2018 Australian Open and in the same year, for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games was appointed client relationship and corporate hospitality guest experience coordinator for Longines Switzerland and Longines Australia. Dealing with high profile and high net worth clients taught me a lot, and contracting became my life, I loved the ebbs and flows of fast paced energy and the downtime where I could decompress afterwards, see what worked and what didn't, reflect on the learnings and take the lessons into the next role/company that took me on.

After being thrown in the deep end in these roles combined with working on my own passion projects/businesses outside of my work in women's retreats and events, I realised I had built a solid set of skills and attributes; resilience, problem solving, negotiation, emotional intelligence, intuition, relationship management, communication.

The next phase I entered, I would learn about creativity in my work, organisation and processes.

From April 2018, my value on creativity and travel were high but after years of high energy and travel for work and play, I was also craving stability. I took on my first full time role since 2015 where I managed corporate hospitality as well as incentive trips, interstate and around the world. It involved sponsorship management, client relationship management, budgeting and financials, profit and loss, designing/creating concepts and fit outs, travel, and event operations. I planned and executed 15 complex events a year for 3 different clients. To give you an idea of how busy we were, I made it to Virgin's Australia's 'Gold' after this role. When I started - this was my dream role. But the burnouts were hitting harder than they used to. It was time to go inwards and revisit the cocoon.

At the end of 2019, I resigned from the role and gave myself some space to figure out why I was so exhausted. (I'm sure you can see why!) I experienced what felt like an existential crisis and wanted to disappear and start completely anew. I spent months working on personal challenges and discovered pattens that rippled through all areas of my life. Friendships, work, relationships and health. Whilst they helped me to achieve so much and learn so much over the years, there were some evident downsides. This required me to go back and revisit the work I had done with my mentors and spiritual coaches, my personal development tools and use what I had learnt in these fields to help me navigate through.

From 2019 to 2022 as I very slowly birthed a new version of myself. I took on event contracts again but this time I came back to what I was passionate about. Growth. I approached these through the lens of what was at my core. Understanding and resolution. I wanted to understand more about processes, strategy and the long game, and I wanted to contribute to growth of both the companies and people I worked with and to myself. But I still wanted more meaning in my work. I didn't want to just build someone else's dream. I wanted to understand the bigger picture of all the things I had experienced and learnt and where they had brought me to. The roles I took on during these years were more team management combined with operations. Through Incognitus, I did several roles; HR Liaison for Hamilton Island Enterprises, recruitment and management of promotional staff at Fire Fight Australia Concert, assisting with project management and team leadership for waste operations at the Department of Defence, Talisman Sabre, and Resident Centre and Support Services management for Athletes Village at The Hilton for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

Something I learnt over the last 4 years is, what I thought was my biggest downside is actually a gift. It started with a curiosity. Wondering why I just didn't want to stay in permanent roles. Why I would get complacent. I realised that when I had learnt and understood the people, dynamics and had contributed as much as I was able to the growth, my work was done.

This is the work that I love and this is what I do best. My ability to come in with an external perspective, with a creative and innovative eye, to collaborate with you, seek to understand you, to come back to your authentic self, to apply effective solutions to your challenges and to understand your patterns - which ones are useful and which ones are not. This is the adventure ahead!
